Design

LabelPack LLC is ready to prepare and adapt existing designs, as well as develop a new layout for you, taking into account your wishes.

We are able to offer you:

• development of a new layout within the existing brand book;
• development of a new layout design from scratch;
• preparation of the existing layout, made according to our specifications;
• revision, corrections, layout of a new text, replacement of bar codes, etc.

Technical requirements for original layouts for flexo printing:

1. Files are accepted in Ai, EPS (Illustrator), CDR (CorelDraw), PDF formats.
2. Raster images must be attached separately. Raster image format: TIFF, PSD
3. Versions below: Adobe Illustrator 15 CorelDRAW 15
4. The resolution of raster images must be at least 300 dpi.
5. Bitmaps with complex designs require PSD files with all working layers and alpha channels;
6. It is advisable to provide layout files in two versions: with fonts converted to curves (when converting fonts to curves, self-intersection of the resulting curve should not occur, because in this case the self-intersection area becomes transparent), and with fonts saved in a separate directory;
7. It is desirable to attach a list of CMYK and PANTONE colors to the files;
8. For files with a known die cut size, an overhang of 1.5–2 mm should be made;
9. It is not allowed to have contours, built-in fills, textures, CorelDraw lens effects, RGB bitmaps, PS Fills in the provided file (if you use them, you must convert them to curves or bitmaps before output), outline scaling in CorelDraw (Scale with Image option in the window Outline) must be disabled, the Stretch parameter must be 100%;
10. The following parameters relate to the technological features of flexographic production:
11. The minimum size of a reproduced font is 6 pt serif and 4 pt sans serif.
12. The minimum font size reproduced by a one-color reverse is 6 pt.
13. The minimum size of the reproducible stroke is 0.2 mm.
14. The minimum size of a stroke reproduced by a reverser in one color is 0.4 mm. A reversed stroke in two or more colors must be given a stroke, because the above parameters are unstable. The stable thickness of the eversion line is 0.5 mm.
15. The lightest dot of the raster should be at least 3-2%, raster transitions should not end with 0% of the raster.
16. The minimum dot size is 0.3 mm, reversible 0.5 mm.
17. Copy area (trapping): 0.15 mm.

In case of non-compliance with the listed requirements, the file cannot be accepted for work without revision. The original layout must be approved for manufacturability.

*Before being sent to work, the layout goes through several stages of checking for text errors and typos by the proofreader.

The final version of the original layout must be certified by the signing of both parties.
